Our story begins in 1906 in Hastings, Nebraska. Dr. Steele, a dentist in town started selling insurance part-time to help support his practice. He continued to do so until 1933, when O.L. Ellerbrock traveled from Scottsbluff, Nebraska to team up with Dr. Steele and the Steele-Ellerbrock Agency was formed.
In 1952 Jack B. Norris became a partner in the agency after working for the Steele-Ellerbrock Agency while attending college. Upon Dr. Steele’s exit, the agency was renamed the Ellerbrock-Norris Insurance Agency, which remained the primary name of the agency until it was shortened to Ellerbrock-Norris in 2019 to be more inclusive of the expanded services available to our clients.
Over the years our agency has continued to grow and while the headquarters still resides in Hastings, Nebraska, Ellerbrock-Norris now has offices in Omaha, Nebraska, Kearney, Nebraska, and Lincoln, Nebraska. These strategically placed offices allow Ellerbrock-Norris to better serve our clients.
Today, Ellerbrock-Norris is an innovative risk advisory firm that can assist clients with managing their risk, as well as help them achieve their long term financial goals. We are continually striving for improvement and innovation so that as our client's needs continue to change we will continue to have new ways to be sure they are well taken care of, so that when Life Happens, they will Be Ready.
